Renovating a beautiful grade two listed High Commission building in the heart of Belgravia

Our clients brief was to extensively overhaul the Mission building, diligently repairing and upgrading all of the priority areas. Going back to basics we put together a repair plan for the client to meet their specific needs. There were clearly defined budget and timeline objectives which we achieved by running the works simultaneously to keep the programme within a 12 week cycle. A project director was appointed and based on site to work with the client, the overseas government representatives and to liaise with the senior management team. Interior offices were repaired, refreshed and decorated, historic plaster work was reinstated and the gorgeous ball room was repaired and restored. A scaffold canopy was designed and installed by our technical team to provide safe access to carry out critical works on the light well ceiling. To complete the renovation the client was looking for a luxury bespoke carpet, made in the UK . Working in partnership with the client and the carpet manufacturer we created a contemporary carpet design which we installed throughout the building. Carrera marble was used in the lobby to uplift the impressive entrance hall whilst reflecting the traditional heritage of the building. The client appreciated being able to use the building for their day to day diplomatic business and they were thrilled with the out come of the renovation project.
